Is it normal that my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport engine can't run any faster than 3000rpm?
(2010-05-29 15:50:09) 1. Says: No matter how hard I floor it, the RPM never rises above 3000. Its weird, cause the harder I push the pedal, the faster I accelerate, but the RPM rate stays the same (right around 3000). Whats up with that? Is it cause its a truck engine, or is there something wrong?If I remember correctly, it has the 4.0L SOHC V62. Says: It's not the engine - it's a faulty tachometer.
