Says: and on the top of the stereo it says mp3. but here is the problem... i cant find where the adapter is. its a saturn stereo and everything. please help! tell me where i should look! thanks!2. Says: I'm pretty sure it means it can play CD's written in the MP3 Format. Like if you're burning a CD in iTunes and when you click "Burn Disc" it gives you the option of Audio CD, MP3 CD, and Data CD. Normal CD Players spin only at a certain speed, so an Audio CD is written so it stretches the information out so that it plays in time with the rate the CD has to spin at. On an MP3 CD the player reads the CD and stores the song to memory, and can stop spinning. This saves battery in portable devices, but because songs don't have to stretched out over the CD you can also add a lot more to the CD. A normal audio CD is limited to 80 minutes on matter how small the source files are. an MP3 CD is limited to 700MB of content, no matter how many minutes. I'm pretty sure that's what that is.I know on '06 and newer Saab's, which are related to Saturn only by GM ownership, have the mp3 input jack in the center console glovebox thing. But they use different stereo's and are from different makes so that's a long shot...
If you have an '06 or later car, the jack is in the bottom right corner of the headunit, but I'm guessing you don't because it's pretty obvious.
I would buy a new stereo anyway. Save up $400 and you can buy a pretty good one, more if you want subs3. Says: Your car might not have a jack for this. For instance my car radio has a button called "SAT" for satellite radio but my car does not come with a satellite receiver but Subaru would not make 4 different kinds of radios for 4 different trim models they put one radio in all four trim models. If you look in the owners manual you will find info on if your car has one and where it is. Check the center console too just in case.4. Says: you should think back to where you last had your adapter Tag: So i got a saturn ion over the weekend...?
