Can u put a b18 head on a b16a block and what would u have to do to make it work?

1. powerman2053 Says: why would you put a b18 head on a b16 block? you're taking the worst of both worlds. any b16vtec head will outflow any b18 head aside from the b18c5's...which is modeled after the b16 head for a reason. a b16 block is .2L smaller than the b18.
if you're doing a "frankenstein" build, you want to put a b16 head on a b18 or b20 block.

4. scion solola Says: Just like everyone else has said, yes. They are essentially the same engines with many modifications done to change the specs. Many have put a B16A head on a B18A/B LS block. If it fits that way, I'm positive a B18 head will fit on a B16. Hopefully you're talking a GSR B18C head however because it would be pointless to put a B18A/B head on a B16A.
