Mazda rx-8 shakes ? best answer ?

1. abady Says: the car shakes sometimes when driving VERRRY slow or when i hit the breaks to stop, u know.
the Mazda dealer says i need to replace the 3 parts that hold the engine.
is there anyway to get this problem solved without changing those parts?

ps. car shakes way less when its in NORMAL.

2. art Says: Ya you need to replace your motor mounts.... sounds like you have an 04, i had to change mine out a few weeks ago and it took less than 30 mins for me and a buddy but here is a link if you get a chance to replace them yourself. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=119849&highlight=DIY+motor+mounts you could also find the motor mounts on ebay or try to search for them online because if you go to dealer for everything, it will cost about 1k or you could do it yourself and pay about 300 for everything max. Good luck.

3. Chris Says: Go to a tire shop and have your tires inspected for broken belts, they make a car shake badly and the steering wheel will rock back and forth if it is a bad front tire.
