the maintenance is definitely not apart of the asking price, as these costs are exactly what they say they are "maintenance".

the question you need to ask yourself is this... does the extra $1500.00 to $1700.00 seem worth it to you to get a 200,000k mile car that is 18 years old with some good accessories, that may or may not last much longer on the engine that its got under the hood?
