HELP!!! I'm looking for a Mercedes Car Radiator mine exploded!!!! :(?

Ms Says: Well...i was driving my Mercedes benz e200 1997 car in the motorway and then i saw the steam started to rise so i switched my car off immediatley and then the front of the car...where the radiator is...it exploded and alot of hot steam came out my car...Does anybody know where i can buy a cheap second hand radiator??? 2. dick car guy Says: this is not the part to be trying to save money on, a nice new radiator will keep your car running, all the radiators that fit that year, are the same age as the one you have now. going to take a chance on another 10 plus year old radiator?

3. cmdauto.pl Says: The worst aftermarket part will be light years ahead of an used one. They are not that expensive, really. Ebay returns several hits on this one, ranging from $100 for aftermarket replacement part up to around $200 for BEHR which is the manufacturer of the original part.

Be sure to replace ALL hoses and clamps, because after replacing the radiator they will become the weakest link of the system. Consider replacing also the thermostat and water pump for total peace of mind.

As pointed out above, don't waste your time with a used radiator. You won't be able to verify it's condition before you install it and why take the chance of going through the same thing twice? Just buy a new one and be done with it.

5. happy2b_white Says: You could try making some phone calls in your area, talk to repair shops that specialize in German cars. Someone will know where the salvage yards are that are close to you.

It would be best to get a new radiator from the dealer. If you like your car and want to keep driving it for a long time it should be worth the investment.
