1. Jeremy Says: its not a governor as you might think. it is a speed limiter in the ECM set at 160 km/h or about 100mph, click your park brake down 1 click , on some this will deactivate speed limiter. the daytime haedlights will go out & park brake light should come on. most aftermarket power chips will eliminate speed limiter
2. Chesbrgr7 Says: Congratulations, you're done.

Seriously.

It doesn't have one, so you've already managed to get your vehicle without one.

Good job.
3. Vipassana Says: You wait until his term runs out and then kick him out of the cab.
4. Dude Says: Speed is limited to the speed-rating of the tires (98mph from the factory). If you really see it necessary to go faster than that you will need a hand-held programmer like the Hypertech or Superchips unit. This will allow you to adjust parameters such as speedometer calibration and of course your top speed limit.
5. boogie_4wheel Says: you'll need a programmer. your truck is running the vortec 350, and they have programmers that you can plug in and change the top speed cutoff, transmission shift points, re-calculate the speedo for bigger tires, and also to get more power out of the motor. look into a programmer
