1995 Chevy Corsica e-brake won't turn off?

1. The One In the Dark Says: It started today. Sometimes it turns out when I start my car but it usually turns off. But today we were sitting in a drive-thru and it came on we tried to get it to turn off but it stays. Help?

Side note, if it helps my ABS light has been staying on for a long while. Even since some long while ago when I got new tired. Since then I had new brakes put in though.

if the e-brake wouldn't go off u couldn't move th car since the rear wheels would b locked....

the light on the dash is for the braking system ......most common reason for it to come on is low brake fluid........but u have to figure why fluid is low since brake systems do not use fluid up like other systems so there is a leak somewhere......

so u need to have the brakes looked at and fixed.....would recommend u having the ABS fixed as well since that light has been on for a while thus indication that that system is not working....
