Can you put a 73 dodge 360 motor in a 73 dodge 100.......is it hard?

Shelly Says: its not as easy as it sounds ,but it helps if the truck originally came with a v-8 engine in it,if not you have to also change out the transmission along with a lot of other parts,but its not that hard,you,ll just need to find all the parts to do it with,if you are good at doing mechanic work it will seem easy,if not its going to seem hard to you,good luck.

3. Steven Says: What is a "100"? A 360 will fit in any Dodge that has had a V-8 in it, if that helps.

4. garylee Says: The 360 will fit a D100 very nicely. It is no more difficult than changing out the engine it has for one of the same displacement.

5. Don't know everything ! Says: Yep,it,s an easy swap...Small block..,small block is simple...If it has a slant 6 things get a little more complicated..

Johnny Rotten Says: its alot easier if it already had a v8 in it before its alot easier, but even if it was a slant 6 powered truck before, a cpl changes would need to be made mainly motor mounts,and maybe some suspension work.the transmission may be ok if you aren't going to get crazy on it and do alot of towing,pulling trees etc. even then swapping the trans for another isn't that difficult in these trucks. its more time consuming than difficult
