How long do brakes last on a 2005 VW 1.8T Passat?

1. Michael Says: Depends on where you live, how much you need to use your brakes, how much you just use your brakes (foot on brakes) when not needed.... I have run cars from 40,000 to over 100,000 miles on same brakes. I sold a car that now has over 75,000 miles and the brakes have never been changed. I just changed them on one of my cars at 60,000 miles. This car should run over 50,000 miles at least before any brakes need changed, but as I said there are a lot of thing that can change that. If you live in the mountains, you will need to change them a lot sooner than I do here in the flat land.
