Will over mixing gas with 2 stroke oil hurt a dirt bike?

Dawson Says: so i bought a Suzuki rm 250 (2004) the other day when i bought it had a full tank of gas and it came with a jerry can full of gas that i think was over mixed. the bike was running great with the first tank of gas then when i hit half a tank of gas i added more from the jerry can then i went riding and a couple of hours later i ran out the tank went dry so i refilled the tank with more gas from the jerry can and now it will not start unless i take the spark plug out and clean it the spark plug keeps getting dirty and covered in oil but after i do that the bike will start but will not run when you put it into gear so is this because the gas is over mixed and if it is will there be any damage to the bike or will i have to clean out the carb or something

2. Alexander Says: To much oil just fouls things up.drain as much gas as you can,start with a new fuel mix and clean or new plugs and it should clean its self out after a couple of tanks.the oil spitting out the back is just unburned fuel/oil

3. Bond, James Bond Says: Just drain the tank and then put in fuel of the correct mix. Start the bike and run it for a while, after a time the system will purge itself of the bad mix and it should be ok, no damage to your bike will have happened.

4. Gary Says: 2 stroke motorcycles suppose to have built in "auto-lube"
auto-lube injects 2T oil in the intake port/ behind the carburetor,
no need to mix oil and fuel inside the tank.
fuel tank must be pure gasoline only..
2T oil, in separate container .
when engine starts, the auto-lube is driven by the crankshaft via small gear on the side of the engine,
(open the side cover opposite of the dynamo )
>look at the carburetor, look for the small hose with oil in it, it will lead you to auto-lube device..
on auto-lube, you will see 2 rubber hose, one from the container, the other one going to the carb..
start engine, see if oil from the container will be drawn to auto-lube and the output will emit small amount of oil,
vacuum from intake of the engine as additional help will sucks the oil from the small hose and it will be injected on the intake port of the engine
