Axle Saver bearings or new axles?

1. Marshall Says: I have a 93 Ford Aerostar with about 215,000 miles on it. Rear axle bearing are getting loose but no leakage or noise yet. I am looking to get about another 30,000 miles or 2 years out if this vehicle.

I have heard of the “Axle Saver” bearings that move the bearing out a bit so it now rides on a previously untouched portion of the axle and uses a thinner single lip seal thus negating the need to replace the axle.

Has anyone had experience with these bearings?

Thanks for your time!
2. Kevin Says: i've never heard of that brand or name but i've heard of products like them and have never used them my self but know people who have, they suck generally wearing out very quickly and wearing out the bearing seat's so they are bigger and then you get to get a new housing too because a new bearing has to much slop, so i would say just run it for 30,000 miles or put new it, but i wouldn't waste my money those
