1. Cekker Kwann Says: What do I need to do in order to take it off and then reapply it in the spots where it is peeling?
2. Acmemechanic Says: What You need to Do Is Wet Sand It With a Not Too Aggressive Grit Wet Sand Paper. You Will Need a Bucket With Water and Some Dish soap (Not alot Just A Good Squirt To Make Suds) Then Get Some 320 Grit,400 grit,600 grit Wet Sand Paper and A Rubber Sanding Block That You Attach The Paper To ( That Makes Your Sanding FLAT Your Fingers Will Dig In Where You are Holding The Paper ) Wet The area To Be Sanded and Stay Mostly On The Intact Clear coat Lots Less Touching Of The Base Coat Because You Will Sand Thru To The Primer Coat Underneath. Break The Hard Edge Of The Clear With The 320 Working In Different Directions But Mostly away From The Exposed Base Coat. Don't Try To Complete The Sanding with This Paper It Just Gets The Edge Broken Down.Keep Rinsing and Reweting Your Paper and Work Area As The Paper Will Clog With The Clear That Is Being Removed. Next Use The 400 Then Next The 600 This SHould Smooth The Edge To What Is called A Feather Edge. It Is somewhat Still There But So Thin That A Recoat Will Hide It.Again Stay Off The Base Coat Until Almost Done Then and Only Then Give a Very Light sand to Make The Clear Adhere. Wash Rinse Dry Well and Recoat DONE!!!
3. K/X™ Says: you cant
4. don r Says: I tried sanding the edge of cracked clearcoat and it seems to always leave a bit of a curb instead of transitioning smoothly. I finally shaved off the area of sunburned clearcoat with a razor and coated the area with new clearcoat. I will have to do it over, since it is very thin and didn't fill in the edge so it is not noticeable. Clearcoat seems to break like glass.
5. brian d Says: you'll have to get it repainted
