How can i make my car run in emergency with a bad transmission?

Says: hi this is for those who know this how can i make my car go with a bad transmission if i am in the middle of the road .in an emergency ...i heard some body said putting wood powder inside just to make run Extra miles just to get to next town thank you..2. Says: You can try brake fluid in there, it has an additive to make rubber swell including belts (which are in the transmission) and possibly tighten up. I think Lucas and other oil companies make additives that does the same thing. I have had pretty good luck putting this in my power steering pump and fixing a leaking seal on my rack and pinion.I think I remember hearing in the old days they would put saw dust in some transmissions and rear ends to quiet them, but it didn't really give a temporary fix.3. Says: if your transmission is shot its shot. there is no quick fix. and where exactly are you adding the saw dust to? saw dust in your tranny is going to give you more problems than anythign.
