What would cause a humming/roaring noise from under my car?

1. lyons_ut Says: Timing and Serpentine belts have both been recently replaced. It's an 02 Hyundai Sonata V6 with 90,000 miles on it. Tires are only about a year old. Noise really starts at about 35 mph and gets slightly louder as you go faster. Seems to be either a humming or maybe more of a roaring noise coming from under the car. Making turns does not seem to make it any better or worse. Anyone think it's wheel bearings, or maybe something else?
2. who_is_jack_**** Says: Check any under trays that may be loose and vibrating under the car as they would have to be removed to replace any belts and they may not have replaced them securely. As said bearings will change pitch as you load them going around a corner.
3. Michael G Says: Either the exhaust or wheel bearings would be my guess.
4. Mjusto Says: that would be road noise from driving your car. Sound comes from your tires as they travel over the road surface. It perfectly normal
5. sha1gon Says: Wheel bearing(s) generally make more noise when turning the wheel a certain way, and are usually heard going just about any speed, so I'd say it's probably not a bearing.

Are you sure it isn't just your tires you're hearing?
