How do you remove door pin on a 2004 chevy silverado to replace them?

1. Matthew Says: the pins are not serviceable. You must replace the whole hinge

2. Hank Says: You can do this repair in your driveway. Go to your Chevy dealer and get hinge pins and bushings, there is 2 different sizes (get both) I would suggest getting an extra set of bushings because they may break during the install. What you want to do first is get a floor jack and put it under the bottom of the door and remove 1 pin at a time ( do the top pin first) and drive the bushings out with a hammer and punch (do not hit the hinge) put the new bushings in with a pair of vise grips, remember one bushing is bigger then the other, check it before you press it in, it should be snug. Give your self about an hour to do this, have a friend balance the door for you this will help a lot (trust me)
