1. Glen C Says: Driving along the road yesterday and suddenly a loud rattle came in the engine. Kept going anyways got home. I recon the bottom end bearings has gone on the con rods. I was wondering will i put new bearings in it or what. The car has 270,000 KM on it so if i was going to replace the bearings I may as well put a set of rings on it but i don't know how much this will cost any ideas?? A different glanza engine is £600 would the parts be cheaper than that.
2. who_is_jack_**** Says: Big end bearings do not rattle they knock, rattle is usually water pump if at bottom of engine or cam/tappets if at the top.

Why you carried on driving is beyond me as it could have cost you a new engine depending on what it turns out to be.
